Inaugural 50x2030 Annual Report published

Following completion of the first full year of operations, 50x2030 has published its inaugural annual report of activities and impact between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020. Among the major achievements documented were the successful completion of data collection activities in six countries, the public dissemination of agricultural data in three countries, and the finalization of the 50x2030 integrated questionnaires, which form the basis for concrete country engagement and program implementation.

The report also details activities carried out in the 12 counties where the Initiative was active during the period: Armenia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Malawi, Nepal, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda. It also covers major developments in the three areas of support that the Initiative offers countries – data production, methods and tools development, and data use – and mitigation measures put in place in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

With this foundational year of work completed, the program is well placed to engage with a growing number of countries this operational year, broker new technical and financial partnerships and to mobilize additional resources to grow its reach.
